Cerefort appoints Christine Lang to Scientific Advisory Board

Fürigen - Christine Lang is set to take a seat on the Scientific Advisory Board of the beverage company Cerefort. The German microbiologist is on the board of Belano Medical AG, where she is responsible for coordinating research and development activities.

The German microbiologist and professor at the Institute of Biotechnology at TU Berlin, Christine Lang, has been appointed as a new member of the Scientific Advisory Board of Cerefort GmbH, further details of which can be found in a press release. Cerefort, which is headquartered in Fürigen in the canton of Nidwalden, develops fermented beverages with a health-promoting effect.

According to the press release, the company’s Scientific Advisory Board boasts extensive expertise in the research and development of new product lines. Cerefort works with the Fermentation research group of the Potsdam-based Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Engineering and Bioeconomy, which, among other activities, is involved in investigating the use and effect of lactic acid and lactic acid production.

The co-founder and CSO of Belano Medical AG, based in Hennigsdorf just outside Berlin, specializes in researching the effects of lactic acid bacteria on the human microbiome. The findings obtained from this work are used in the development of alternative skin care products and other medical products. Christine Lang will contribute the experience and knowledge she has gained throughout her career to her new role as a member of the Scientific Advisory Board at Cerefort. ce/ww
