Stans - Light Wing AG from the canton of Nidwalden has received confirmation of the certification of its AC4 tow plane from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency. At the same time, the certificate was extended to include the AC4 GT.

The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has updated the certificate for the AC4 tow plane from Light Wing AG, which was first issued in 2014. At the same time, the certificate was extended to include the AC4 GT tow plane, as the company based in Stans in the canton of Nidwalden explains in a press release available via its website. Light Wing also provides the current type certificate and the documentation for the extension of the certificate to cover the AC4 GT type via its website too.

Light Wing presented its AC4 GT tow plane at the AERO trade fair in Friedrichshafen in mid-April. Moreover, the performance of the AC4 GT was recently showcased “at various French airfields located around Paris,” as the Nidwalden-based aircraft manufacturer explains in its latest newsletter. According to the company, the tow plane gained plaudits for its “impressive ascent rates and extremely short tow cycles”. The AC4 GT can pull loads of up to 850 kilograms. ce/hs
